We are excited to partner with Samford University’s Ministry Training Institute to bring solid Biblical training right here to Etowah County!
The Spring A & B classes offered are listed below.
Spring A- Intro to New Testament
Tuesdays at 6 p.m. January 21- March 11, 2025
Etowah Baptist Association Office, Gadsden, AL
Students will be given an overview of the various sections of the New Testament. Instruction will be given on the authors, context, and content of the New Testament books. Attention will be given to the history of the New Testament and the development of the New Testament Canon.

Spring B- Paul's Letters
Tuesdays at 6 p.m. March 18- May 13, 2025
Etowah Baptist Association Office, Gadsden, AL
The Pauline Epistles make up more than a third of the New Testament writings, and therefore it is important that Christians understand why Paul wrote his letters. Students will study the content of the letters and find applications for their Christian journey.

The MTI Biblical Studies Diploma program utilizes local leadership to offer classes implementing Samford’s guidelines, syllabi, and textbooks. Classes will be taught by professors who possess an advanced degree from an accredited seminary and have been approved by Samford. For $50 per class, you can finish this Diploma in two years, and Leavell College will accept the credits towards a Bachelor’s Degree!
