Among planning events, coordinating volunteers, evaluating curriculum, and oh yeah, don’t forget about the kids, it is easy to develop some “bad” habits in our ministries. Let’s pause and take a breath while we talk about some healthy habits kid min leaders should consider and how to implement them.

  • Emily Hamilton- Sexual Development and Scripture. LGBTQIA+ is common language for our teens and kids. What do we need to know and how do we teach the Bible in light of it?

  • Jeremy Carroll: Solving the Discipline Puzzle: The Rubik’s Cube of Classroom Management. Finding the balance between maintaining control of your classroom and having a fun environment can be difficult. Come learn some tips for managing children’s behavior while still creating an environment where kids can learn about the Bible.

  • Scooter & Chelsea Kellum- Rite of Passage Parenting and Ministry- The different phases of our kids and teens lives are important. How do we celebrate those different phases in our homes and ministries? and what difference does it make?

  • Jeremy Carroll- Working the Workflow: Tracking Steps in Onboarding Leadership. In many cases there are potentially incredible leaders all around us, but how do we identify them? What if we were able to create a repeatable process which positions us to always be on the lookout and then to strategically on-board new volunteers? Let’s explore what tools we can use to think strategically about the potential of those around us.
