Is it just me or does humility seem to be a dwindling commodity in today’s society? It appears that the ‘I’m the master of my own soul’ message is more prevalent in recent days. John 13 reminds us if I then, your Lord, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash My feet”? Now, did Jesus ever get His feet washed? It’s not recorded, but so often the servant is overlooked in the act of serving (just a thot). Anyway, the sentence finishes with you also ought to wash one another’s feet. Today there’s so much “posing and posturing” but true humility is totally opposite. We get to do things His way. I get to humble myself. I get to recognize my rightful place and exalt Him. I get to be who God created me to be – a servant and messenger. Be blessed and be one!
